So, I think I might be able to validate my student’s creation of a Wiki for various activities in the classroom even though they are not allowed to use Wikipedia sites for their research, much to their groaning. A Wiki would work very well for the activity of partner journals while the freshmen are reading the novel Night. It would eliminate the passing of the paper journal between them, and would also allow them to integrate actual pictures that are in support of their thoughts.

A little bit of knowledge can open a whole can of worms. So, Jeff, at the last minute you sent me to this wonderful workshop and now I have that look on my face. You know the one … the “she must want something” look. I want a lot of things. I want a Smart Board, and blogs for all my classes, and help figuring out what to do with the dust-collecting Blue Tooth connected to my computer, MY OWN PERSONAL MEDIA SPECIALIST, and your knowledge of the InAccess and Ed Tech Grants turned into reality for all my worms trying to escape from the can. My gift to you in exchange … If you get these things, I will bring myself and my students to them. Now is the time for me to find that look of “Yes” on your face to this list of wants. What a deal!
